BASIC LIFE SUPPORT
Duration: 3 Hour Course
This 3 hour Basic Life Support course provides learners with the essential knowledge and practical skills needed to respond effectively in emergency situations.
Participants will gain confidence in delivering critical lifesaving assistance until professional medical help arrives. The course also includes training in the safe use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), following the latest Resuscitation Council (UK) Guidelines.

CATASTROPHIC BLEEDING CONTROL
Catastrophic Bleeding Control Course
3 Hour Course
This specialised 3 hour course provides learners with essential guidance on managing catastrophic bleeding in high risk environments.
It covers the safe and effective use of tourniquets and haemostatic dressings, along with the key principles of First Aid when faced with severe bleeding incidents.
All participants must hold a valid Level 3 Emergency First Aid or Level 3 First Aid at Work qualification before attending.

CPR AND AED
Level 2 Qualification
Duration: 1 Day Course
Enables workplace and public staff to perform CPR and use an AED promptly and safely, improving survival chances after cardiac arrest.

FIRE SAFETY
Level 2 Fire Safety
Duration: 1 Day Course
Provides fire safety awareness, risk prevention strategies, and the practical skills needed to effectively carry out Fire Warden duties during emergencies.
Fires in the workplace can have devastating consequences, including loss of life, injuries, property damage, environmental impact, and disruption to business continuity.
Most workplace fires are preventable, which is why fire safety training is a legal requirement. Employers must have policies and procedures in place and ensure employees receive appropriate training.
This course is designed for employees who wish to develop basic fire safety awareness and take on specific roles such as fire wardens, marshals, or stewards to help manage fire risk effectively.

FIRE SAFETY AWARENESS
Level 1 Fire Safety Awareness
Half Day course
Covers essential fire safety basics—how fires start, emergency response procedures, and prevention. Perfect for new employee inductions and those considering Fire Warden responsibilities.
Fires in the workplace can cause serious harm, including injuries, loss of life, property damage, environmental impact, and disruption to business continuity. Most fires, however, are preventable.

FIRST AID AT WORK
Level 3 Qualification (Level 6 in Scotland)
Duration: 3 Day Course
Meets the statutory requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. This comprehensive course equips staff to respond confidently and effectively to a wide range of first aid emergencies in the workplace.

FIRST AIDERS AND EMERGENCY FIRST AIDERS: ANNUAL REFRESHER
Half-Day Course
Although not mandatory, the HSE strongly recommends that qualified First Aiders and Emergency First Aiders complete an annual refresher course to maintain their confidence and competence.
Since the qualification period for both groups is three years, this short refresher helps ensure vital first aid skills remain current and effective throughout that time.

FOOD SAFETY IN CATERING
Level 2 Food Safety in Catering
1 Day course
This course is an excellent introduction to food safety in catering, suitable for employees at all levels, especially those currently in or preparing for a food safety role within their organisation.
It simplifies key aspects of food safety and explains practical steps to maintain hygiene and safety in the workplace. The training aligns with health and safety legislation, ensuring employers meet their duty to provide appropriate policies, procedures, and training.

Proskills UK is dedicated to promoting, advancing, and delivering training and education for individuals working in — or preparing to work in — the materials, production, and supply industries, as well as the broader Health & Safety sector.
Proskills UK is responsible for developing National Occupational Standards (NOS) for Health & Safety. These standards define the level of performance individuals must achieve when carrying out workplace functions, along with the essential underpinning knowledge and understanding required. They serve as the benchmark for qualification performance, training delivery, and competency assessment across industry roles.

MANUAL HANDLING (PRINCIPLES AND PRACTICE)
Level 2 Manual Handling Course (Principles and Practice)
1 Day Course
Manual handling including lifting, carrying, pulling, and pushing is a common workplace activity that, if done incorrectly, can cause serious injuries.
These injuries account for over one million working days lost per year and significant pain and suffering. Correct manual handling techniques can make a significant difference in preventing harm.
Recognised by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), this course provides training in safe manual handling in line with HSE regulations and guidance. It is suitable for any workplace and promotes good and safe practices.
